ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Mrs. Vonda Riddling, true to her name, has always been fond o' riddles--not to mention all sorts of games, puzzles, brainteasers, and trivia. She first demonstrated her talent at the tender age of 5, when she visited one of the factories owned by her father, the toothpick and matchstick magnate Isadore Bertram "I.B." Puzzlin. There, without any instructions or coaching, little Vonda took 15 toothpicks straight from the assembly line (of course she wouldn't play with matches), arranged them into six squares, and then changed the pattern into three squares by removing just three toothpicks.
At 28, she married Ulysses Rodney "U.R." Riddling, an up-and-coming executive in the spare-board-game-pieces industry. A few years later, they were blessed by the arrival of two daughters. One weekend, Mrs. Riddling sat on a park bench, watching the girls playing with their small plastic sliding-tile puzzles and reading to each other from their Mensa quiz paperbacks. "Wouldn’t it be wonderful," Mrs. Riddling mused to herself, "if there were a place where parents and their children--and anybody else, for that matter--could solve mindbending riddles?"
Today, that dream is a reality, in the form of Riddling Park. Mrs. Riddling wishes to thank every guest who enters the park, and she hopes that it will be a source of joy and diversion--but not frustration--to everyone.
ABOUT THE PARK
The Riddling Park Public Relations Department consists of one person going by the screen name of archerhawk, who is occasionally under the delusion that she created the park as her first Web site and her first attempt at making an online riddle.
